Praline Amber Ale

Oh Wednesdays, why must you sometimes feel like Mondays? I should be more excited to see you but you are much shorter than the mountain of paperwork piled haphazardly on my desk.

Thank goodness for Craft Brew Wednesday!

I cannot express how excited I am to share our brew of the week…

Southern Delight Praline Amber Ale brewed by Coastal Empire Beer Co.

I can practically smell the sweet caramel and praline through the pic!

Brewed in Savannah, GA, this ale stays true to the Southern Culture that inspired it. Brewed with Georgia pecans, Madagascar vanilla, and the natural caramel flavors from the malt, it makes perfect sense! According to their website, it has 5.2% ABV.

Two of our crew members are on hand to offer our take on this delectable treat!

Colby- It’s sweet and smooth. You can definitely taste the pralines. I can’t help but think about drinking it with vanilla ice cream.

Raquel- So much lighter than it looks. It isn’t as thick and rich as it looks (or sounds) so it was a very pleasant surprise. It has just enough sweetness to live up to it’s name and is a smooth, flavorful ale that pairs well with oreos…not that I’ve tried.

I don’t know how this ale came to be in our home because it is rarely seen but oh so appreciated when it’s found. I’d recommend giving it a try if you are lucky enough to find it because any time we’ve locked our eyes on it, it was going…

And just like that, I’m happy sipping through the rest of this action packed Wednesday with a nice craft brew in my hand and images of freshly made pralines dancing through my head.

Thank you Coastal Empire Beer Co. for helping us get over this humpday and ready for the week’s end.
