Summer’s nearly here, the weather’s finally clear, and today is Funky Friday!
It’s been a funktastic week and we want to show our love for our locale by drinking local tonight.
We love that Funky Buddah!
We can be hesitant when trying an IPA because, let’s be honest, it doesn’t matter how much of a hop-head you are or how long ago you acquired a taste for them, IPAs can land a swift kick to your mouth if you aren’t prepared!
Luckily, The Funky Buddah team crafted some of the most perfectly balanced beers and their IPAs are proof of that.
The Hop Gun IPA is a light, traditional American IPA. It is so well-balanced that it mimics the smoothness you get when you order an IPA straight from the tap. This is our “When in doubt” IPA because it’s never the wrong choice.
The seasonal More Moro Blood Orange IPA is one of the most flavorful IPAs I’ve ever had the pleasure of guzzling down. It’s bursting with the blood orange flavor that inspires its name and is the perfect drink for the sunny Florida days that have finally arrived. This is definitely my sunshine in glass.
It may be obvious which of these is my personal favorite, but I thoroughly enjoyed drinking both. They are definitely a great choice for the novice or reluctant IPA drinker.
So, let’s toast to a safe and beach-filled weekend and kiss the weekdays good-bye.
Cheers!
How will you ring in your weekend?

Do you sell growlers, not just beer to fill them? We are coming for the month of November to Fort Walton Beach.. Wondering if we have to bring our growlers with or can buy new ones at your place.

Hi Carla! We are actually not affiliated with any of the breweries/pubs we post about. We are more than happy to point you in the right direction, though so you’re able to enjoy your stay! Funky Buddha isn’t in FWB, it’s in Oakland Park FL and they do sell growlers on site. If you are not traveling there from Fort Walton try a few other places like: One of the brew pubs we interviewed is located in Fort Walton Beach at 255 Miracle Strip Parkway SE B-19 Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. Props Brewery currently has a tap room in the restaurant and smells of delicious malty goodness! They sell growlers of all their signature brews on tap right in the restaurant. If you’d like to try more local/specialty craft brews, you can walk across the parking lot to Beach Liquors. They have some incredible brews on tap for sample as well as for purchase and you can buy a growler there as well. You should also check out Boardroom Pub and Grub on 158 Miracle Strip Pkwy SE, Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. They have craft beer on tap and you’ve got to try the white chocolate key lime pie! Last, but not least, if you are in the mood for a good bar that serves great beer, check out Salty Duck on Ferry Rd. Hope this helps! Have a great stay!
