We’re finally back from our travels just in time to celebrate Independence Day. It’s time to fire up the grill, plunge some fresh fruit into a vat of whipped cream, and pop the top off some cold ones.

Joining us tonight are a couple of our new favorites and are the perfect pairs to our celebratory festivities.

21st Amendment’s Brew Free or Die! IPA

Its crisp and not overly-hoppy taste is the perfect compliment to our grilled veggies and marinated steaks. It leaves a nice bitter taste on the tongue that heighten the flavors of the citrus marinade dripping through each juicy bite. Mmm…Homer Simpson-esque sounds are emitting from our mouths just writing this.

Funky Buddha’s Blueberry Cobbler Ale

Let me just put this out there…I cannot say enough good things about this brewery. Funky Buddha has hit it out of the park with every creation they brew. This Blueberry Cobbler Ale is a testament to their ability to turn a traditional dessert into a brewtastic masterpiece. It truly recreates the magic that happens in your mouth when you’ve taken a heaping bite of blueberry cobbler a la mode. It pours a hazy, pale blue, tastes of tart blueberry and ends with vanilla and cinnamon, leaving a creamy after-taste in your mouth.

Our bellies are full, our palates satiated and now it’s time to sit back and laugh with Nick Offerman’s American Ham on Netflix.
